Rules of Play
Everything you need to run a game. Takes about 5 minutes to learn.
Calculate in this order every round. The system handles it automatically online; use this for local play or to understand the math.
Base formula
1. Eff. Retention = Base Retention % + Monetization Modifier(min 0%, max 85%)
2. Returning Users = Last round's Total Users × Eff. Retention(round down)
3. Total Users = Returning Users + New Users from Acquisition card
4. Revenue = Total Users × Revenue per User (from Monetization card)
5. Profit = Revenue − Acquisition Cost − Retention Cost
6. Cash = Previous Cash + Profit
Round 1: Returning Users = 0 (no previous users).
Worked example
Round 3 · A2 + R3 + M2 · Previous: 400 users, $45,000 cash
